As I said I applied for citizenship in 2000 and I passed the exam, finger print was done but my case is stiil pending due to back round chech I also called California senator barbara boxer,her office investigate the mater but she told me the case is pending and she can not expedite the case and by the way my case has not got lost.
My question is how can I take care of this problem. Thank you abe

It can take years, in some cases they can never get completed. Often it requires the nation you came from to supply certain info, if they will not, or if they can not, it is hard to tell what can happen

There was an issue with some Cubans many years ago, They were dumped into the US, Castro will not take them back and they will not be provided with any documents to allow them to get any visa or access to immigrate to the US.
They are stuck

The fingerprint is not a back ground check, it is a ID check to see if your fingerprints are on file anywhere else under any other name, it will be done against the US data base and in your case most likely Interpol also. But your immigration attorney needs to find out what other documents they are still looking for.

US government won't ask for any info from your government, once they see where you come from, your case is suspended.
