Is This right, Can I protect Myself
I have worked for a Corporation in Arizona for 17 years. Rumors state that this company does not want to pay out severence packages, so instead they will find reason to fire people. There are suddenly many people going on a performance plan.

The Supervisor states that they have received orders to firm it up and make sure we have the best people. Another employee asked, so your saying there will be no layoffs, just
Firings, they were told, yes, exactly. Is there a way to protect myself and get advice?

If so, how can I find a reputable attorney and find references that may handle something like this, or am I wasting my time. I have 7 months pay to lose.

    Thank You

If they find cause to fire you, they can fire you. Been there, done that, back in my "other life" when I worked in larger corporations my job was to find ways to fire union workers the company wanted fired. I was good at my job,

So the company is going to require workers to work to specific levels, as long as these levels are reasonable there is little you can do.

Next there is nothing you can sue for until you are fired, they you will have to go though and fight the reason you were fired.

Also if there is a large group already fired, they may want to join together and hire an attorney for joint action.
