3-Way Hampton Bay with Wall remotes? Help!
Ok here's the deal and please bare with me, this might be kind of long. Anyhow here goes.

I bought a new Hampton Bay fan that came with the remote control. It came with a wireless remote control and the receiver is built in to the fan housing. The previous fan was wired to three switches. (A three way setup at the top and bottom of the stairs and a single switch at the top for the light.) I currently have the fan setup like this- At the top of the stairs the single switch has been capped and I am using the three way so I have control at top and bottom of the stairs. Up top I am still using the three way switch that was there, and down at the bottom is a new Minka Aire wall mount remote control. The Minka Aire units are the same as a Hampton Bay unit (has same internals and what have you but that's beside the point) Up top I have 3 wires and a ground, down at the bottom all I am using is two blacks and a ground (no common) one black is hot in to the remote module and black back out to the receiver in the fan (hot) then of course the ground. Now here is the real question if anyone knows-Can I use another Minka Aire unit up top and have both function without the other being off? Most three way setups one switch has to be on and the other has to be off for the light/fan to work. I want both remotes to be on at all times? ANY help or input is appreciated I don't want to fry one of these 30$ remotes doing trial and error.

Also found this on another forum same situation, so if nobody here knows ill give Minka's # a try.

Yup I did it this morning, took me forever to get through to them, but I did. They faxed it over within an hour, and it wires exactly like I thought it would. Black(hot) in black back out to the other In (hot) on the other switch and then black back out to the fan. If anyone wants me to scan and post I can.
Thanks for posting minkas number if that was you.
