If I read your post right, then your boyfriend told you he likes a girl that you know.

If he told you this, as hard as it is swallow, I think he likes her more than you, otherwise he wouldn't have said anything.

My advice? Break up with him. He will break up with you soon (probably), so you might as well. Or, if you two stay together, you will love him more than he loves you, which isn't fair to YOU! Not to mention the possibility of him cheating increases tenfold.

After he says something like that, I don't think the relationship can work, so I would recommend you end it.

It is possible that he is breaking up, this happens,

Normally when your boy friend tells you he likes someone else he is telling you he is no longer your BF,
But then your age, your culture all has bearings on this

He could just be trying to make you jealous in an attempt to make him love you more. As immature as that sounds, its possible.

Wish him well and give him his freedom, clear. You can't hold on to someone who has already cheated in his heart, and his words to you tell you that is already true and he wants to take it to the next level.

You're going to be sad, but you're also going to be fine. How awful would have been to have your BF cheat on you and keep you on a leash. At least this guy is a good one, he's being honest with you.

I think that's something to respect, don't you?

Tell him goodbye and not to let the door hit him in the a$$ on the way out.

He told you because he's hoping you'll break up with him so that he can pursue the other girl.

You deserve more than this, cut him loose and move on, you'll find someone a whole lot better. :)
