My computer has the wrong DNS address
I can connect through my network places, but I can't log on remotely to computers in the domain. I can use the internet, but I can't access internal web sites. This started I think or maybe concidentally around the time I installed a new VPN connection. I uninstalled all the vpn connections/and software, rebooted, still had same issues. I keep going to the network connection setting, and checking obtain automatically, for the dns, I click OK, then close, then reopen it , it goes back to the wrong dns, I tried the same thing but put in the correct dns address, I click on advance (in the tcp/ip properties) , then dns tab, and delete the DNS address, and add the correct one, click OK, then close, then reopen it, it still has the wrong dns address... what is going on

If you have the computers on a domain does that mean you are on a corporate network?

Yes that is a good place to start.

Also check that the DHCP Server settings are giving the Clients the right DNS Name and also the VPN Policy is also giving the right DNS Settings

I had tried all of your ideas already, nothing had worked, it had turned out to be some type of spyware
