Bladder discomfort relieved by orgasm?
Okay so I have this quite embarrassing problem, but I'm feeling brave today so I'll ask about it. :o
Not every night, but frequently, I have the urge to pee, and have to get up and pee several times within an hour or so. Not much pee comes out however, sometimes just a dribble and sometimes none at all. This will go on for 2 hours or more, and I just can't get to sleep. Finally I "discovered" haha that if I had an orgasm the "pain" of feeling like I had to pee would go away temporarily, and I could go to sleep. Often it takes about 4-5 orgasms before it goes away completely.
I've been evaluated by my family doctor and by a specialist (didn't tell them about the orgasm part though :o ), and don't have a bladder infection or what they'd classify as a weak bladder, and no STDs. I had a cystoscopy, a laparoscopy, and urodynamics testing, all of which came back normal. The only suggestion they had for me was that I should "train" my bladder to go less often. But I don't have the problem during the day at all, which strikes me as odd. It's only in the evenings. It's also not following any particular pattern... I've charted it for a while and it's not related to my menstrual cycle, and it doesn't happen every night, either. AND it's also not pregnancy related. I've had it off and on for at least a year before getting pregnant.
Maybe it seems like having 4-5 orgasms a night is really great haha, but it's actually very annoying when I'm overtired and just want to sleep. But it's the only thing that helps at all!
Anyway I'm just wondering if there are any other women out there who know what I'm talking about or have heard about it. It's driving me crazy.
