How should you react when your girlfriend hangs up the phone on you?
How should you react when your girlfriend (or boyfriend) hangs up on the phone on you during a phone conversation?

This happens to me and find it to be childish. Yes, I may have said something that may have irritated her, but if you have a problem, you should say so, not hang up. So, I tried to call back, but the attempt was ignored. Its been a few days and haven't heard from her since. Should I hold my ground and wait for her to communicate? I feel as though if I call, it will be seen as wuss-like and she could lose respect. However, if there is no communication, the problem won't get fixed. Seems like a lose-lose situation to me and nothing but a mind game being played. Suggestions for the best course of action?

She hung up on you, obviously you did something to upset her enough so give her space. This whole game playing crap isn't going to work.

Wait and see what happens after she calms down.

From a female standpoint, I would want him to call ASAP to probably validate the fact that I hung up because I was upset. Now, others may see that as just female logic, maybe it is just that, but it works.

I hung up because I wasn't 'game playing' but genuinely upset. That is the only reason why I would hang up immediately. Possibly after using some really bad language, maybe.

In this case, I did call back immediately to try to discuss why she was upset, but the attempt was ignored.

"How should I treat people who react in an angry way when I provoke them? How do I treat people who I anger on the phone and they hang up since that was where the argument occurred? How do I treat people when I don't want to be a wuss and want to make sure I get all the respect that's due me even if I'm a pain in the wuss?"

Seriously, dude? You want to be a "man" about this? A real man? Then go over and apologize for provoking your girl if you did that in any way. Then don't do that again.

Never, NEVER, EVEEEEER argue on the phone or in text messages. It's SO unmanly. Face a person and discuss disagreements in person, like a man.

A real man is someone who can own up to their own actions and make retribution even if they still feel slighted. A real man does what's right even if it doesn't benefit him, only the other people. A real man knows his position is not the only one that can be right, and it's not even the most important one. A real man can see the forest, not just the trees.
