    Mole mass of a pea?
If you have a mole of peas and each pea has a mass of 1.4g, what mass of peas do you have ?

Just wondering, did my teacher make a mistake on this question? Because he doesn't state how many peas I'm solving for.. it seems like the important part of the question is missing. Any thoughts?

Look again at what you posted:

The answer is YES, but your answer of
    Quote:

8428? Damn that is a lot.
    is too small.

    Then just add units.

Hum... you know how to use your calculator properly? I got the answer... but that isn't like yours... You sure you didn't miss something?:)

Just in case you didn't know:
    10^5 = 100,000
    10^23 = 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

Meaning if 2 times 10^23, it will be 20^23, or 2.0 x 10^23 in standard form.

    Now, if you take 2.0 x 10^23 times 2, it will give 4.0 x 10^23, not 4.

Check all the numbers displayed on your calculator please.:)
