    Carrier gas pack
When switching from summer to winter my carrier gas pack is not producing heat. Is there a pilot light that can go out

Is this unit outside? If so there is usually no pilot but spark or glow rod ignition.

It would have to be a very old unit to have a pilot lite.

Usually they are a self contained outdoor unit. Used many times when space inside a home is not available for a standard unit. Park them outside and duct them in.

Good to know. I always called them selfcontained outdoor units. Glad I actually know what they are supposed to be called now.
