    Gums pigmentation
    Hi ,
    My gums are very dark due to heavy pigmentation since childhood. Is there any cure for this. I have heard about pigment theapry but does not have clear idea . Could u please provide some information about this

    Melanin, carotene and hemoglobin are the most common natural pigments contributing to the normal color of the gums. Complaints about "black gums" are common. Gingival depigmentation has been carried out using non-surgical and surgical procedures. Recently, laser ablation has been recognized as a most effective, pleasant and reliable technique. Treatment requires only topical anesthesia.
