    Chevy truck brake lights
Hi I have 1993 chevyZ71 truck and my brake lights don't work, I have checked the bulbs, fuses, brake switch, and also checked under the hood for the second fuse box, which I did not see one. Is there anything that I missed?

Most brake fuses are in the under-hood fuse box. You should have one. Here's how to properly check fuses:

    Do the Hazards work properly?
The Hazards work off that Stop Lamp fuse.
Also, the circuit for both of those systems passes through the turn signal switch.

Also check the trailer hook up harness,to make sure there's no broken wires there .

Check the brake switch. It is located up behind the brake pedal. Shouldn't cost you more then $20 or so. There is a metal clasp that you will have to remove in order for the little box to come off. MAKE SURE YOU PUT THAT METAL PIECE BACK ON WITH THE NEW SWITCH. There is not another one in the box that the part comes in so keep up with it. Make sure to put the clasp back on the same way you took it off if not the brake lights will not work. Hope this helps you.
