My wife had a baby and has nothing to do with the father . The father is not even on the birth certifacate he will not even admitt to the child being his he wants nothing to do with her has only seen her once and said it wasn't his anyway the baby is 8 months old and still young enough to not know betrer I am the only father she has ever know thus far anyway I wann know ho to adopt her as my owns I feel it should be easy seeing as how he is not on the birth cert. no one is except my wife and I can't jusrt sign it because they will know I'm not the father because she is mixed and I am not.. can anyone tell me what to do to do this I live in Michigan and don't know the law very well and would like someone who knows about this to help me please

Okay, I got my parental rights terminated, I appealed and my lawyer had no contact with me about even getting denied on the appeal, they were adopted by word of newspaper. Can I do anything at all about this when I never even knew anything? Or is it left like that because my lawyer never contacted me?
