Having a hard time moving on.
    Hello to all,
If I might, could I ask a question please? I was dating a man that I enjoyed being with very much. However, after a short time of dating and having a great time, he called and told me that we could no longer see one another because he felt like he was cheating on his wife. She has been dead for 2 years. I feel bad for this man, but don't understand the process of grieving. I am blessed to have not lost anyone close to me yet. What is your advice or insights? Thank you so much.

I would definitely respect this man, he obviously cared/cares a lot about his wife. I would be there for him, but would not pressure him into anything more than a friendship. I wonder if his wife would want him to consider re-marrying or not.

It is obvious that he is not over his wife's death yet and he is finding it hard to move on. I think you should give him some time but be there for him as a good friend. He will let you know when he is ready. The last thing you want is to enter a relationship where a man including his thoughts is not fully committed to you. Only time will tell.

It is fairly obvious that he has not finished with his grief process. He could be stuck in stage 2 grief and may never move on. As a concerned friend you might suggest that he get some professional grief counseling to help him deal.

Go on over to iTunes and have a listen to Hard Time Movin' On by David Bradley, it may help. You can hear some on his website also. Just Google. Hope it helps!
