My husband and I recently bought a mobile home that had been repoed.. We just got hooked up on city water.. and after the first use in the bathtub.. there was an AWFUL odor coming from the bathroom.. it doesn't come from the sinks, the toilet, or the shower.. We have a shower stall and then the tub is a garden tub.. The water drains out of the tub pretty well..

We must start with the very basic question, does it smell like sewage or is it mold and musty smell?

I'm not sure it smells like seweage or mold.. or even a musty smell.. when we first noticed it, I thought it could have been the garbage.. It smells sour.. like something rotted.. I know what sewage smells like and that's not it.. I don't know really how to explain.. it's just horrid! Yesterday was the first time water had been through the water lines.. since we bought the home back in march..
