Recently someone commented that I must have a heart problem because my fingernails are not pink like normal... I have had these nails forever and have heard this before. I have quarterly checkups for my diabetes (the nails were white 30 years before I was a diabetic) and my Dr. never mentions them. I have annual stress tests and echocardiograms that are always normal. So what do you think? Also, my hands are not cold or numb.

Are you a smoker?

If your nails are not bluish I wouldn't worry so much. It's the bluish tinge that signifies a circulation problem.
