    Compressor Wiring
I am replacing a faulty compressor pressure switch and have a question...

The new switch has different terminal labels / designations. My three wire 120V power cord has Black (hot), White (neutral), Green (ground) wires... correct? The pressure switch has terminals labeled MOTOR, LINE, and GROUND. Ground is obvious, but I am not sure about the others. My gut tells me BLACK = MOTOR and WHITE = LINE. Can anyone confirm if I am correct or not?

    Thanks!

    KISS

Gut is wrong. The switch interrupts the black wire. LINE (Black) is the side toward the wall. Motor (Black) is the side to the motor.

    The "Line cord":

    Green - ground
Black(Hot) - LINE of the switch
White(Neutral) - Direct to the motor
