What exactly is going on 'down there'?
It got deleted, and I really need answers!

Okay, so I'm a sexually active female. I, however, haven't had sex in nearly 2 weeks. My period ended 1 week ago. This morning, I had a brownish-red discharge after I used the restroom. I forgot to take my birth control yesterday morning, and I am told you can get some breakthrough bleeding if you do miss a dose. I always use a condom when having sex, and I always make sure they're on correctly. I actually put them on for my boyfriend. When done, we check them for leaks. I have no other problems, no sore breasts, no change in arreola color, no bloating, no fatigue, no change in appetite. Nothing. So I'm rather sure it's not that I'm pregnant, and my mother nor boyfriend think it's that I'm pregnant. I'm 17 almost 18, for your information. I used to take birth control roughly a year or so ago, and had a similar thing happen, and maybe it's just break through again? Advice would be great, thank you in advance!!

I would guess it's just break through bleeding. A user with the name of J_9 could probably help more then I could.

Yes, but ifyou read about condoms even when used 100 percent correct it still has up to a 3 percent failure rate by manufactors estimate.

And as normally used, the est is that there is a 10 percent failure rate.

So if you are just using condoms then yes there can be a chance of being pregnant.

So while I doubt it is, it may or could be.

She said she's on birth control as well... and she missed one dose, when I miss a dose I bleed the following day only for a few hours... that's probably all it is.
