My hunter thermostat only turns on my furnace when it is set to heat and on not heat and auto and there are only two wires comimg from wall [furnace] what can I do?

Add a thitd tstat wire,, after that get rid of the junk hunter and get you a good tstat,, it will let you down when it good and cold and you need it the most
