Back in 90 and 91... I had an ex-boyfriend kidknaped and try to kill me.
This was in southern California.
He eventually turned himself in to authorities and pled to 3 charges.
Committing a felony while out on bail for a felony
Assault with a deadly weapon
Kidnapping across the border to mexico

He pled... this did not go to trial.

He served half of an almost 12 year sentence.

He was paroled back in 96 or 97, can't recall exactly at the moment.

I helped with forms so that his parole could be transferred out of state and this did happen.
He finished his parole as far as I know in New Jersey.

How do I find out if I was ever to receive restituition? And if I was... is it still possible to access this money?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Contact the original prosecuting attorney's office and spea with them about this. It might take some time to locate your bf's file and figure this out.
