    My Trane XL Bo Gas Furnace will power up then turn off a second later?
    It was installed in 99. It is a Trane XL 80 Downflow Gas Furnace. We installed a new Thermostat and that did not change a thing.

    Power up as in?? Are you talking the entire unit or the flame or the??

    It will not ignite.

    Have you checked the ignitor? Does it glow? OR is it a spark system?

    Need more info. Is the combustion blower(draft inducer) the only thing to come on and then nothing? Please explain exactly what is happening and we may be able to help.
