Blockage in pipes from hot water heater
We had very low water pressure, so my husband emptied the hot water tank and found lots of sediment. Now the bathroom sink works fine, but the tub has very low pressure and the kitchen sink has no water at all. Anything we can do to save the expense of a plummer?

    KISS

For starters, remove the aerators at the end of the faucet or showerhead. Use soft jaw pliers to remove and run the water.

The "tub" may be more complicated, but the solution is still the same even it the above doesn't work. The stems/cartridges need to be removed with the water turned off. Then you need to turn on the water briefly with the shutoff valves to flush the debris out.

Follow Kiss advice about the aerator first. If no joy then the two valves must be opened up and the cartridge inlets checked and cleaned. Before you button up both valves turn the water back on for a minute to flush out the supplies and the open valve bodies. You should have a strong stream when you do this. If not click on back and tell us. Good luck, Tom
