Exposed pipes all over the kitchen
I just moved into my apartment it is a basement unit and in the kitchen all the pipes are exposed along the wall and ceiling. Is this safe or a violation of code? Secondly He told me that is smelled funny because he bombed it for pests however, I have been in there for 3wks and it still smells funny. Kid of musty like. What should I do?

Finishing the walls and conceling the pipes are cosmetic and neither help or hinder the operation of said pipes.
As for the smell check and see if there's a floor drain and fill the trap with cooking oil to prevent evaporation. If it persists call him back to9 see if the smell is coming from another source. Good luck, Tom
