    Accident under suspended license
I have a suspended license but eligible for my sr22. I was driving home from work and hit the median avoiding a tire on the road. I did not get an issued an accident report, even though a cop came. I was lucky to be able to put the car on the side of the road an pick it up the next day.

My question, the car is under my families insurance and they don't know about my previous dui, it is inevitable that they will know. But in this situation will the insurance cover my accident?

As long as the policy was in effect the insurance company will pay for the damages. I would, however, expect the premium to go up substantially based on your driving record and this accident while driving suspended.

Technically your insurance company COULD make an argument that you were driving unlicensed but I've never seen them do it.

The policy could also be cancelled.

I would personally pay for the damage myself and not run it through the insurance company - might be cheaper in the long run.

If you were required to have a SR22 filing, was it filed with this insurance company and where you paying the proper insurance on it.

I would say that I doubt they will pay since first you were driving with a suspended license and was suppose to have the insurance policy filed with the state under the SR22 filing.

If they do pay, they will either cancell the policy or double to triple the amount that is now paid on the policy

Yes, you would call the insurance company and report it as normal.
