You can't sign your rights away - you can pay Court ordered support and just not visit with the child but if you search out the thousands of times this same question has been asked you will find you can't sign away your rights UNLESS someone else is willing and able to adopt the child.

You can always go to Court and ask for Court-ordered DNA testing to determine if this is actually your child - maybe it's not and then you won't have to worry about it.

    Hello bu:

Just because you can't take care of it, doesn't mean you don't have an OBLIGATION to take care of it. You're the father. Don't you care if your child eats??

I understand that you don't. Good thing the courts are looking out for your kid - you sure ain't. You're going to be stuck with child support for the next 16 years...

The first thing you need to do is get a paternity test to confirm whether you are the father. If you are then you have an obligation to that child. You cannot get out of that obligation by signing over your rights. The courts will not allow you to do so.

If you browse through this forum you will find hundred of similar questions.
