Missing sister, nephew and niece. What do I do now?
I have contacted the local police department and the county police department informing them of my sister's apparent disapperance.the only reason I say "apparent" is because no one has legal right to just walk into her home to rule out foul play or if she and her boyfriend just abandoned everything they own. Or that is what I am told. She rents but I can't find the owner's name.even when I look on the local web site for info.I have tried to get answers from the local police department and they have told me in no uncertain terms that their hands are tied.that they have done all that tey can do.it has been a week. My sister and I have always been close but after the death of our little brother 7 years ago to suicide we have become even closer.I haven't heard from her in a week. It's not like her to just stop calling or stop returning my phone calls. We talk several times a day every day without fail.I have been calling non stop. I have asked all of her friends if they have heard from her and they haven't heard from her either. Many of her friends heard from her last the same day I did. All of her belongings are still in her home, including two of three cars.all of her furniture, a TV was left on.my four year old nephew and two year old niece are with her somewhere. What do I do?I have reported her as a missing person.I have searched for the owner of her rental home and I can't find anything. I hoped to get in touch with the owner of the rental to see if he could meet me at the house and let me walk through to see if she was OK. Where do I look for that information (for free) or what other avenues can I take? Please help me.

Go to your Town Assessor's office and see who gets the tax bills - that is usually the owner.

First what city do you live in, even in Atlanta if you call for a welfare check they will do it, we even had them break open a door on one elderly person to do one. OK nothing was wrong and I ended up paying for the door.

I will say this, you are her sister, and you are very close, so go over and go in, and check, so you have to pay to fix a door or window but you check.

Thank you everyone who helped. I found my sister. She wasn't missing she just didn't tell anyone she was going out of town with her boyfriend. She finally called me last night to let me know where she was. Although I was very mad, I am also very relieved. Thank you all who helped. I thank God He has such amazing grace. Thank you all again.

This is one of those occasions when you don't know whether to hug her or slap her - glad it worked out well.
