Reduction in hot water from upstairs faucet and bath tub
Please help, I have lost almost all my hot water pressure on my second floor. I have hard water and need your assistance. I'm a novice plumber at that so I would appreciate a detailed answer. Thanks so much! Chris

    Hi Chris,
In order to help we need more details. Age of house? Type of pipes? Copper? NGalvanized? Plastic? Did this just start at once or did it happen gradually? Pump or city water? What's the house pressure at a hose bib? You may purchase a hose bib gage,(see image) at your local hardware store. Back to you, tom,

Tom, my house in less than 5 years old, I have city water and have noticed this pressure reduction gradually. I have a gas water heater. Also I noticed that if the shower is on and I turn on the cold water on the faucet, the shower water turns hot. Like the old dorm locker rooms. My pipes are copper. Thanks for our assistance. Chris
