    Defender of welfare
Paul Krugman Is Awarded Nobel in Economics - WSJ.com

    Quote:

Mr. Krugman later wrote. "I was then and still am an unabashed defender of the welfare state, which I regard as the most decent social arrangement yet devised."

    Hmmm..

Nobel prize - from Sweden - socialist state

Mr Krugman - NY Times columnist - both anti Republican

1] welfare state is good for who? The average American worker?

2] who provides for welfare when no one works?

3] is this Obama's ultimate plan?

    What do you think? ;)

Personal profit is the only sure thing to motivate the average man to do his best. Therefore, welfare, socialism, communism all have to resort to force in order to have production.
Even that doesn't work well. Slaves do no more than they are forced to.
With these totalitarian systems, no one cares whether the job gets done or not.
In my humble opiniion, this guy is an idiot.

The fear of death is a good motivational tool.
The removal of testicles is even better.

Did Michael Moore get his Nobel for Literature yet ?

Krugman's signature comment on the nanny state :
“For me, Sweden of 1980 would be ideal.”
Say hello to Obama's selection for Fed Chair.

He quit being an economist a long time ago. He is now just another political pundit from the NY Slimes.

To his credit, he did foresee the bubble burst long before Greenspan(the maestro) stopped covering it up .

But then again President Bush saw it in 2003 and proposed legislative action that was ignored .

Here is an example of his Nobel Prize winning work .He supports slave labor.
    Slate - Dismal Scientist - March 20, 1997

In this piece he rationalized the anti-Semitic remarks of Malaysia's prime minister Mahathir Mohamad
"The Europeans killed 6 million Jews out of 12 million. But today the Jews rule this world by proxy. They get others to fight and die for them."

And in a previous article he agreed with Mahathir Mohamad rants about the evil speculator .

    Raging *IRRATIONAL* propagandists! Lol

"Welfare(socialism)" just saved unregulated capitalism in America... unregulated with no oversight almost took down the economics of the western world, for openers. Well, we **hope** this socialilstic answer works!!

Take a course in logic, PLEASE!! :)

Our economy has never been unregulated . Take a history course. It is replete with examples of banking crisis ,followed by meddling by the politicians, who always acted too late and succeeded only in making things worse.

Your sig prompted me to see who this guy is :)

I can see why you like him and Obama ;)

Just out of curiosity, if you hate capitalism so much why don't you relocate to Cuba and six months from now give us an update. Oh wait, with an expected Obama victory and the Democrats in congress, the US can be just like Cuba!;)
