Why are young teens so childish in their relationships?
I didn't get on well with anyone at my old school because the girls were always interested in the fittest boys they didn't even consider what they were like or what their views were. I'm not fit and I'm certinantly not 'cool' but I can offer a meaning full relationship without having to be preassured by the people around me or to be childish just because that what the girls are into! I'm sure that there is someone out their who shares my views and I would love to know what your views are! Is it worth trying or shall I just wait till I'm older when everyone is more mature? Thank you!

I am 21 years old now, but in my teen years I wasn't particularly fit or "cool" either therefore I didn't get much attention from the girls. However, I found a girl who liked me for who I am and not what I look like. Just give it time.

They are kids, they will change what they like at least another dozen times.

Try asking a 5 and 3 year old what they want for breakfast

The world is a harsh place. We all do better if we accept the things we cannot change and start the process to better ourselves in the meantime... the one thing we CAN change.

The reason geeks and nerds end up running the world is because they spend so much more time preparing to do so. The cool jocks and in crowd that are SO social end up running the Piggly Wiggly or selling cars. The stereotypes are stereotypes because they are true, more often than not.

You don't have to decide to "wait it out" at all. You can just do the things you want. Fill your time with things of interest to you. Don't mope and waste time because you don't have a superficial affect on people like some others. Put it out of your mind. Get busy with the things you enjoy doing.

The busier you are, the more likely you will sync up with a girl who notices who you ARE and likes it. So get out there. Stay exposed, stay involved. Accomplish things, learn things, teach things, have a crapload of fun.

One day you'll blink and there she will be... your first love.

Unfortunately, this doesn't go away, even after HS. It will stay to some degree, but not as bad. I can only recommend that you hit the gym and work hard, get ripped and hope for the best.

Thanks loads I have just been lost and confused because the people around me where backstabbing and ing and cheating and acting like idiots. And to vapo I'm a fair bit younger than you so I'm talking about the time between now and then. Everyone I aks says that you will find it but I often doubt it.

I don't necessarily agree with you on that. Judging from the post it seems to me like he wants someone who likes him for his personality and not because of how fit he may be. Although going to the gym can't hurt :).

I'm too lazy to go to a gym anyway I think it would be hard to get into a gym at my age let alone getting past my parents! Lol

Haha, I know what you mean. The best thing to do is to give it time. You'll find yourself a nice mature girl one day.

I'm 14 so do you think it will take seven years for me to find someone who isn't as shallow as not to look at relationships?
