Use of credit card contempt of court?
Recently been divorced in Wisconsin. Per judgement, I was assigned to repay all current balances on all credit cards. I did repay all these balances in ful by specified date. Although, I was still an authorized user on a card she was primary on. I used the card up to 2500.00, and have kept the card current, and have been repaying the debt. I am now summoned to court due to contempt. Not sure what ground she has?

What does the divorce say? I would be very surprised if it allowed you to continue to incur joint debts - which is what this is. Is it outright fraud? I don't know - but it very well might be.

You stop paying for any reason and she's left with this debt because the card is in her name. You're late, her credit rating suffers.

I think the Court will not be nice to you.

I would have to agree with Judy. That is a joint debt (something that stops after a marriage ends). You were to pay off the current debts on the cards not create more. True she should have removed you as an authorized user but you should have known not to use them.
