1) Thyroxine is one of the safest meds to use for hypothyroid while breastfeeding.....any amount that may transfer to baby will be very small and you needn't be worried that it may effect your child.

4) Chance of your son developing a hypothyroid will depend on the reason for your's. Often, unless your doctor can determine the cause, there is no way to know for sure. Did you by chance have gestational diabetes during your pregnancy? Have your glucose levels been checked?
