I drilled several holes in pvc drain pipe behind wall. I read some forums and they mentioned taking the same size pipe and cutting out a patch. You then glue it an clamp it. My worry is that ID and OD of pipe is different. Is this the best way or how should I fix these holes. My studfinder gave me a false reading so I have 3 .125 holes and one that is about .375 since I drilled side by side. What is the best way to fix this? A patch using the same size pipe or something else

Eiry- Go to Lowe's , homedepot, or a plumbing supply storeAnd take a piece of the pvc with you so you can get the right size piece of pipe and the right size coupleings. IF YOPU can get to the pipe then cut out a section of the old pipe LONGER then the area you mis drilled holes in . The new and old pvc will bend quite a bit so that you can repair it ,Glue the couplings on the ends of the old pvc pipe , Note ( before glueing the fittings on first ,Put some glue on old pvc ends ,one at a time ,and wipe off good with paper towelsd or old rag ,then glue the coullings on the ends give about 1/2 turn then take and do the same on the end of the pipe as you did thios end . NOW take and measure the distance from the center of one to the center of the other, and cut off to the right measurement in length, Put some glue on one of the ends and also inside the coupling give it about 1/4 turn ,Now Put the glue on the other end sand guide the top with your right hand and grub the center and pull it out just enough to put that end into the coulpling . Let it go back stright and you should have it fixed . You need to pull a water pressure test on the fittings before closeing up the hole for any leaks if no leaks are found then you did a good job , Close up hole and finish .:: Good Luck and GOD BLESS :: F.B.E.

Use coupling that goes with that size of pipe.

Do this: cut this coupling lengthwise. Apply glue on pipe and coupling halves. Put two coupling halves over the hole, covering the hole. Clamp it with s.s. clamp. Leave to dry.
