How do you find out if your computer is running normal or if it has any problems?

Plus, how do you go about fixing that?

What makes you think it isn't?

Use a free program like CCleaner to run and keep the system peppy.

Use the TOOLS > STARTUP option in it to keep items that are loading at startup that don't need to be there from loading. For instance, Adobe Acrobat, Quicktime, Realplayer, iTunes... a bunch of programs you only use occasionally will put a "helper" program in the Startup list that is thus running all the time. Ridiculous!

Disable anything in there you KNOW you don't need running ALL the time. Ask here if you're unsure about any one item.

Other than that, keep your antivirus up to date and your firewall installed at all time.

If you want your web browsing to speed up and be safer, switch to Mozilla FireFox.
