    Eviction process
I'd like to know If I'm served with a 3 day notice. I've been paying my rent on time every month. However, I lost my social security and can not pay my rent for this month. I do have a security deposit I paid when I first moved in. How long will I have to stay until I have to move. Can I stay on my security deposit? I'm on a Month to month agreement.

    Please respond I need assistance.

No you cannot stay on your deposit. While a landlord can usually keep the deposit for unpend rent, that is their choice, not the tenants.

A 3 day notice is generally a pay or vacate. So if you can't pay in full within the three days, you have to vacate. However, if you don't vacate, the landlord then has to file for a court eviction order. That can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks depending on local activity.
