What kind / brand of facet do you have ? Can you post a photo ?
There is a built-in diverter inside the faucet. That diverter has debris in it preventing positive water transfer. You have to take it apart and wash it out. It is easy to do...
It's a Moen, single lever... came with the house (house is about 4 years old)
As Tom says clean or replace the diverter, and do you know that Moen products has life time warrantee call their customer service they are very friendly and will send parts for free, attach is an exploded parts view, Thanks.

Thank god it's a moen, should make for an easy fix.
1. Do I have to unscrew everything under the sink to get to the faucet?
2. How or with what do I clean the inside faucet?
Hi scorpio and welcome to The Plumbing Page at AskMeHelpDesk.com
1. No! You take the handle off and go in from there, REmove the cartridge and check and clean the inlet ports.Quote:

2. When you have the cartridge out place a pan over the valve and turn the water back on for a minute to flush out the supplies and valve. Reassemble and test. Good luck, Tom,
