    Calculate the time it would take for an ideally situated rubber duck to make a loop of the North Atlantic. Now calculate the time it would take for an ideally situated rubber duck to make a loop of the North Pacific. Why the difference?

    The North Atlantic and North Pacific both have large circular current systems. Do you have any data on these in your textbook perhaps?
