Take a large pair of pliers and turn the handle clockwise. You might also loose the bonnet packing nut,(that's the nut under the handle) a quarter turn to loosen up the stem.
    Good luck, Tom

Before you do any thing loose the bonnet packing nut 1/4 of a turn which Tom says, apply some WD-40 let it soak for a while and then try clock wise to close and counter clock wise to open, good luck.

    Big8...

Like Tom said, you can use pliers to try to shut the handle (turn CLOCKWISE... ;) ) or can loosen the packing nut but be sure to use another pair of pliers to hold the body of the valve against yourself as you loosen handle/nut so you don't break anything of inside the wall... ok?

This is one of those... just in case deals!

    Then answer mygirlsdad's question... hmmm..

    Good day!
