    Early withdrawl of 401k
Want to take an early withdrawl of 401k to help pay bills. Im under 55, but husband over and not working now. Does the over 55 not working rule apply only to him or family. Meaning dismiss the 10% early withdrawl fee if over 55 and not working.

Your 401K belongs to you, not your husband, so the age reuqirements apply to you.

If you withdraw money from the 401K, the 10% Early Withdrawal Penalty WILL apply.

FOUR WORDS: DO NOT DO IT!

You will pay at least 25% of the money in taxes, and aybe as much as 50%.
