    BathTub Drain Replacement in concrete
I live in Florida and we have a concrete uni-slap foudation and floor

    1) do I have to replace the copper tub drain if it's not leaking?

    2) this copper pipe is completely cemented in. there is no dirt or tar box around it like I have seen in other homes.

    Greetings from Sarasota,
I'm confused. A bathtub waste connects to the trap raiser under the floor line.
Is the tub on a platform so the connection's above grade?

You have just described a shower rough in. Please explain or a picture would be better. Regards, Tom
