    Internet & the web
    Hello,
I am a parent wanting to check to see if my computer is being used to look at porn. Can you tell me how I can check this?

Info below will tell you where to look for temp files and you can get a good idea of what sites have been visited, But he may delete browsing history if he knows how

The location of the Temporary Internet Files folder depends on the version of Windows and whether you are using user profiles.

    * If you have Windows Vista then Temporary Internet Files are in these locations (note that on your PC they can be on other drive instead of drive C):

    Quote:

    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Window s\Temporary Internet Files\
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Window s\Temporary Internet Files\Low\
Note, that you will have to change the settings of Windows Explorer to show all kinds of files (including the protected system files) in order to access these folders.

    * If you have Windows XP or Windows 2000 then Temporary Internet Files are in this location (note that on your PC they can be on other drive instead of drive C):
    Quote:

    C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\
