    I have a pioneer vsx-108 surround sound receiver it has a passive subwoofer non powered and it reads dc out on the display I have no sound period

    Dc out means that there is Direct Current (DC) on the output. In all likelyness the device disconnected the speaker(s).

    It needs professional service. Yes, I can fix amps, but it requires significant skills.
