How do I go from an odd size drain to a standard?
Hello,
This is my first time asking a question here so please be patient with me if I don't explain myself well.
I had new kitchen countertops and sink installled yesterday and was hooking up the drain traps. I was going to install a regular inch and a half P trap. When I removed the old one, it appeared to have a two inch nut on it connecting it to the drain. The only thing that I could find that would fit was trap that was made for a mobile home but it reduced it to an inch and a quarter instead of inch and a half. The inch and a quarter does not fit the new sink drain. The old trap looked to be PVC that was all glued together. Since the sink is a different size the old one will not work. Is there a way to go from the 2" nut that attaches to the drain going out and end up with a inch and a half so I can use regular slip nut type fitting?
Thanks everyone in advance.
