Quint... each shower valve has its own specifications...

You need to purchase the faucet and read the instructions.

Typically I will rough the valve in at about belly button height and the shower head at 78" off finish floor...but if people in home are 5'6" or less I will lower that to 76". This information, by the way, will not agree with valve instructions... just a rule of thumb I use and it works great for me.

Depth of the valve will be determined by wall/tile thickness and should match up with the rough in plate provided with the valve.

If you want to match specs. Then read instructions and place according to instructions.

Let us know if need more info...

We rough in our tub valves at 32" off the floor and our shower heads at 78".
    Good luck, Tom
