I have a 7 year old female cat and recently I think she had gotten fleas because she has been scratching and has little scabs around her nech well anyway I gave her a flea bath and put a flea collar on her and I don't know it is been working she may be getting worse well she also has been acting differently she has been laying on the couch all day except to eat and use the litter box otherwise the past 2 day she lays there normally she hides until everyone is in bed... HELP I want to know what's wrong with my baby!! :(

What kind of flea collar did you put on your cat? Was it specifically for cats, or was it a dog flea collar? The chemical in the collars for dogs can kill a cat, so check that first. Also, if you put a flea collar on the cat after giving it a flea bath, it's possible that you have inadvertently poisoned the cat. I'd get the cat to the vet, or at least call with the symptoms and see what they say. If it is an overdose from the flea medicines, you could be looking at liver and/or kidney failure, so you don't have a lot of time.

First take off the flea collar if you haven't already. Definitely call your vet for advice. Some cats have allergies to flea powders and collars, the vet has drops you can buy that are less irritating.
