    My 2006 Tax return
    Hi

How do I find out how much I received on my tax return in 2006. Reason being my ex fiancée claimed our daughter when we were separated. My daughter resides with me but being he claimed her first he got the return. I only received part of my return Im not sure if it was the federal or state I received. I want to reach the IRS and get my money. Please advise

    Thank you
    Andrea

Did you claim your daughter on your 2006 tax return? You can get transcipts of your 2006 return from IRS for free. You can order a transcript by calling 1-800-829-1040, or using Form 4506-T, Request for Transcript of Tax Return. If you have a fax number, you can get it faxed.

As per IRS rules only the custodial parent can claim the child except for a court order. Read Your U.S. Tax Return: Child of separated or divorced parents
