    Grounding wire pigtail
I just changed an exterior light on my older home. I connected the house grounding wire with the light grounding wire. But, the directions mentioned a pigtail grounding wire (not included of course) and there is a green grounding screw on the metal plate. So do I need to get/install a grounding pigtail wire and add it to the already connected house/light grounding wire and attach it to the green screw? Or is it okay the way it it? Plus, where exactly do I buy a pigtail wire?
    Help.

    KISS

They are packaged at the hardware store with different options, Some have a wirenut and a fork terminal. The wire comes out the other end of the wireni=ut so the installaton goes easier.

Metal boxes as well as the fixtures should be grounded. Best practice is to ground the fixture first and the attach the pigtail to the box.
