Hello

So I need to know what to do. I am 16 years old and I am seeing ghosts. I constantly see figures in the corner of my eye. I explained to my mom her aunt who died before I was born. I also constantly hear things. My mom completely believes me but my dad does not. He forbides me from going and seeing a psychic for help/ answers. So if anyone can could give me some answers that would be awesome. Am I perhaps becoming a medium? Also can't ghosts sense that we can see them so that's why they are around me more? Thank you.

It can be tough growing up with your kind of gifts, I know. Back in my day I didn't even have the internet! I had to drive forty miles just to buy my first Tarot deck. ;) It's hard to balance being true to yourself while still not being too vocal about experiences that friends and family don't understand.

As you get older, your roots grow deeper. Believe in yourself that as a few years go by, it will get easier. You will learn how to control what you do, and find ways to use your gifts positively. Whether you choose to adopt the title of "medium" "psychic" "shaman" or something else, or channel your talents in some other creative way, is up to you. You may well go through phases in your life where these kind of experiences take a back seat--they either don't happen or are not that important to you. And then it will come back to you when you are ready and it is something you can use.

Yes, ghosts and spirits can often sense when you are aware of them. Learn to talk to them when you are alone (so that you don't freak out your parents or others). Most ghosts are pretty clueless. Just being patient with them is a good start.

I would also like to add that time means nothing to them so don't worry that you are keeping them hanging around or anything. They will just come and go. I agree that it is best keeping this stuff to yourself for now until you get a good handle on it. Read about how other people deal with it. But DON'T believe everything you read. Learn to trust your own instincts and intuition.

Yes, I think you are psychic. But just seeing them from the corner of your eye you are not really ready and a little afraid.

Spirits most likely know you can see them from my experience. Ghosts are not quite sure as they are unsure of exactly what is going on sometimes. They need to go to the light as they say and sometimes seem to take a long time and to be confused.

Your father may not want you to get taken advantage of by a psychic. They do not know everything and sometimes are no help. You can try listening to Coast to Coast the psychic radio program on late at night. They are constantly talking of shadow people. I don't like the name myself. When you are older you can do what you want. In the meantime why don't you get some books on ghosts, etc. from the library. It's good to be armed with knowledge. There are even some especially for kids and their psychic awareness.
