Can you change your last name if you are a felon?
I am a felon and have been off probation for 8 yrs now, but I want to change my last name from my ex-husband to my maiden which I shoul've done when I was divorced, but know that my childern are all adults I would like to finally like to move on and I am not sure if that is legal though if you are a felon.. I would apprecate any help if you can..

In most areas yes you can, but it will not "clear" any record, your previous criminal history will still show up under your new ID.

Also if and when finger print checks are done, your record will show all names ever used
*** legal changes or just fake names used.

    Hello m:

Sure you can. There's a legal procedure you have to go through, and felons are citizens too.

    Go dogs.
