    Grease Ball
So I used to have gorgeous hair, but lately it gets really greasy. Like I will take a shower in the morning and less than 12 hours later it will look like I haven't showered in days. Whats going on with me?!?! I have a hypothyroid, so I dont know if that might have something to do with it or not. I use pantene proV (spelling?) I use the one for longer hair, my hair is past my boobs and it is dark brown (not sure if that helps answer the question or not, but figured i'd mention it) HELP!!

You should use the ones that say clense for dirt and oil buildup. They help a little not much. I have long dark hair as well. Been fighting the grease for about 6 years. Good luck!

Internet says it's a side effect of low iodine and/or hypothyroid. Hair loss is also common.

Aside from your personal health - how often are you washing? What kind of hair do you have? What shampoo and conditioner are you using? What do you use after a shower? If you can answer these I can hopefully help to make matters less "greasy".

I shower every day but I try not to wash my hair every day because I was told it wasn't healthy for my hair. I have long brown hair, I don't know how they determine thickness of hair like my hair isn't thick I just have a lot of it. Like if I curl my hair it takes me almost an hour to do the entire thing. I use pantene pro-V for long hair. After I shower I don't use any products in my hair because it just makes my hair get greasy faster.
