I have just found out that I am 5 weeks pregnant this morning. I did hear that cramping is normal during the 1st trimester and this is the time that my period should be on but of course I it hasn't come on which prompted the hpt. How long should the cramping continue? It feels just like menstrual cramps and I don't remember this when I had my 1st child 8 years ago. Has anyone had this symptom before?

It can be very common... usually not a concern unless severe and/or you also have bleeding. If it causes worry, always wise to run it by your doctor or midwife for the peace of mind.
