Inducer (Draft) Motor constantly on - Lennox UHG80-100
My furnace's draft motor never stops even after one full heating cycle, which it's supposed to stop!

This causes the pressure switch to stay closed even after the thermostat calls for heat the second time (after the initial heat cycle).

When I stop and start the main switch in my basement, the draft motor restarts thereby causing a full heat cycle to complete normally.

Is my control board malfunctioning or is there a relay or something that is preventing the draft motor from shutting down after one cycle?

Please please help - it's getting colder here.

I am having a similar problem with my York Stellar furnace. My inducer blower stays on but I do not even get one heat cyle, only the inducer turning and staying on. Did you solve your problem?

Well, somebody in a different forum suggested that the relay for the motor could be stuck. It's usually located on your control board but apparently, we cannot just replace only the relays. We need to replace the whole control board.

Try to tap on the relay to see if releases and shuts down the motor.

I hope anyone else can throw some more light on this.

I found this you tube video very interesting.

I have a question under "Trane furnace problem" that I believe may be related to the same issue. Having checked all the components related to my failure code I am coming to the conclusion that the relay is stuck on the board and is feeding constant power to the draft inducer motor. I plan to attempt a board repair if possible,or replace the board. Hope this helps you.
